| Providence
Hospital, Anchorage, AK |
By Dan Morand
This package adds Providence Hospital to the city of Anchorage.
The hospital does exist in the real city; these buildings
are not meant to be accurate models,
although the location is correct. An air ambulance helipad
has been added on the west tower of the main building to allow
rooftop landings, something
we don't seem to get enough of in FS. |
| TWA
MedEvac#1 |
By Dan Morand
This package adds scenery for a helicopter mission from Kenai
AK. The Russian freight ship Anya Veyta is taking on water
and being assisted by a salvage tug from Anchorage. While
offloading the lumber cargo, a line snapped and the salvage
diver was injured by a falling load. Veyta's doctor reports
the patient is bleeding and unconscious and will require emergency
surgery. TWA Anchorage Ops has esponded to the MedEvac request
and dispatched your flight. From Kenai, proceed to the Veyta's
position and airlift the injured diver to Providence hospital
in Anchorage. |
| TWA
MedEvac#2 |
By Dan Morand
This package adds scenery for a helicopter mission from Kenai
AK. While transiting the Gulf Of Alaska, fire broke out aboard
the cruise ship Pacific Princess. Four crew members were badly
burned when the blaze spread to the aft cabin spaces, and
they require immediate airlift. Anchorage Ops has received
a request from the Coast Guard for additional MedEvac support.
From Kenai, proceed to the Gulf and airlift as many of the
injured crew as possible to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

| Chekok
Lake-v2 |
By Tom Fica
This is a small lake located 25 miles NNW of Illiamna. The
scenery depicts a hunting camp on the lake. There is no
strip, but if your in wheels you can probably find a place
to land on the beach. There are lots of animals in this
area, when you fly here keep a sharp lookout. You may even
spot the rare white cow moose.
This scenery is a new version of Chekok Lake and has been
tested with FS2004 only. It was created for the default
mesh but it works fine with Denneys' 2002 mesh. It has not
been tested with any other mesh but I know of no reason
why it wouldn't work with anything. |
| Tazimina
Lake/Uff Da Outfitters |
By Tom Fica
Tazimina Lake is located about halfway between Iliamna (PAIL)
and Port Alsworth (TPO), Alaska and is the home of "Uff
Da Outfitters". They offer deluxe accomadations and fly-out
services for hunters, fishermen, campers and anyone else who
wants to experience the Alaskan wilderness in this area. There
is a small dirt strip and a floatplane dock to service all
kinds of bush traffic. Stop by for a visit, you'll find a
warm fire, a good meal and a comfortable bed. |

Ketchikan Cabin #2 |
By Paul Kane
You'll find Lake Ketchikan #2 just behind downtown Ketchikan,
Alaska. The cabin is located on the far shore close to downtown.
You can land on the water or make a beach landing. Be careful
though, the approach for a beach landing is kind of tricky
:-) There is also a helopad for you rotorheads! The area is
acessable by plane with floats or wheels. The GPS ID is KLC2.

| Edgecombe
Lodge |
By James Belk
This package includes two airstrips. The primary part of the
project, Edgecombe Lodge, is an unusual mountain runway with
an inclined profile. It's fictional and designed to just be
a bit of fun, but is still based loosely on a real life airport
in Nepal called Phaplu. The other airstrip, located at Johnny
Mountain Mine, exists in reality and should give you a taste
of what day-to-day commercial flying operations might be like
in this harsh environment. |

AKR Station D |
By Edmund Cox
AK183 - 1 of 4 Fictional Seaplane Bases located south of Juneau,
Alaska for Fs2004. The Fs2002 scenery came with all 4 spots,
however, this remake for Fs2004, I am doing each spot seperately.
Mainly used for cargo distribution and supplies, these AKR
Stations were also intended to serve as tourism spots for
hunting, fishing, skiing, camping, etc. Just fun little spot
to hit in a bushplane/floatplane. |
| Alaska
Lighthouses |
By Bob Langendorfer

Alaska. Each Lighthouse has been assigned a NDB with the freq.
set to 801 and above. See the enclosed text file, AK_lightNDB.txt

| Merrill
Pass |
By Tom Fica
If you ever take a VFR flight from the Anchorage or Upper
Cook Inlet area into the Bristol Bay drainage aera west
of the Alaska Range, chances are you will fly through Merrill
Pass. Because the highest point in Merrill Pass is only
about 3200ft it is a major VFR air route connecting these
two areas. |
