FS9/COF Scenery Downloads

The sceneries below are all located in the Timberwolf service area. Those constructed specifically for Timberwolf Aviation included TWA in the title. The remaining sceneries provide excellent charter destinations for TWA pilots and some may be included in the schedule as time goes. They are included here for download with the permission of their authors. Many of these sceneries will work in FS2002 as well. (Note that many of these sceneries require the Tree macros of Garrish Grays. Some include them, others do not. You can download them separately below and install them once directly into the FS2002 Scenery and Texture files.)

Description
Fairbanks Air Camp By: B Stockwell
Tie down that old Cub of yours, grab a burger off of the BBQ and have a seat around the campfire! If you want a place to relax and shoot the breeze with some of your fellow pilots make a stop at Faibanks and join the crowd in the GA area! The camping area as rendered in this package adds static bush planes, dynamic smoke, campfires, people, and other objects to the GA area of the default Fairbanks Intl' (PAFA).You can pitch a tent to RON, grab some chow at the picnic area or BS with other bush pilots around the Cubs and Beavers.Where is the fishing hot this week? Ask Joe over by his Beaver! How's that old gravel bar up near the crrek this week? Ask Tom or John over by the BBQ, they've landed up there in the past couple of days!
Hiline Lake By: Tom Fica
Hiline Lake is a fictional scenery located 51 miles WNW of Anchorage, Alaska. It's the home of a recreational facility owned by "The Alaska Piper Cub Owners Assn." (a fictional orginazation) and is known locally as "The Alaska Cub Club". The area has a 1300ft. dirt strip and a floatplane dock. The "Cub Club" is open to the public and you don't have to fly a "Cub" to visit. We hope you enjoy your stay!
Sharp Mountain By: Tom Fica
Sharp Mountain is located 21 miles NW of Iliamna, Alaska. You'll find a small one-room cabin on the shore of a nice little lake.. There is a short unimproved dirt strip for wheeled aircraft and floatplanes can make use of the boatdock. The cabin belongs to Uff Da Outfitters (UFDA.zip) and is used in the fall for caribou hunters, but it's a great place for a secluded getaway any time of year.
Bell Island Hot Springs By: Tom Fica
This scenery was made to be used with Holger Sandmanns' "Misty Fjords" scenery, it will not display properly without "Misty Fjords" being installed first!!! Enhances Bell Island Hot Springs, Seaplane Base (KBE). Adds "Redirection Lodge" with guest cabins, dock, boat house, boardwalks, and hot tub. This is a nice place to visit, you can fish for salmon and halibut, hike the trail to the upper lakes or just spend the day beachcombing and soaking in the hot tub.
Sheldons Cabin v2 By: Tom Fica
Don Sheldon was one of the great early bush pilots in Alaska. He was the founder of Talkeetna Air Service and the first person to routinely fly support (and rescue) for climbers on Mt. McKinley. In the early 1950's he built this cabin to serve as a base for these flights. The Sheldon family still own the cabin and it is rented out to climbers and others who just want to spend some time on the mountain. This is a small piece of scenery, it includes little more than the cabin and an area to land. In reality that is all that is there. Other than some bunks and a stove the cabin is unfurnished, you'll have to take everything you need in with you, including stove oil, there is no wood to be found at this altitude. The location of the cabin is not accurate, I couldn't find the exact location, so I picked a likely location in the general area with a good landing area. This scenery is for FS2004 only. It has been constructed to work with the default FS2004 mesh and Denneys' Alaska mesh for FS2002.

Grant Narrows, Pitt Lake, BC

By: James Belk
THE larger runway at Grant Narrows has a 15 degree bend (blind at ground level: the corner needs to be anticipated by using the pair of orange marker cones as a guide & on take-off, care must be taken not to apply full throttle too early). The shorter runway is on a slope that involves an unconventional downhill landing & an uphill take-off (STOL planes only!). Both are bumpy, and require Holger Sandmann's mesh for the required effect (see below). A dock is provided down on the lake shore for visitors on floats. The landing strips are fictional, set in an area of wilderness on the shores of Pitt Lake - but only 20 miles from downtown Vancouver. The first Rambo film was shot in the hills just to the east in the Golden Ears Provincial Park: if you fly north from Grant Narrows you'll find Rambo's airstrip hideout just a couple of miles past the end of the lake - the real life location of a popular fishing lodge.
