FS9/COF Scenery Downloads

The sceneries below are all located in the Timberwolf service area. Those constructed specifically for Timberwolf Aviation included TWA in the title. The remaining sceneries provide excellent charter destinations for TWA pilots and some may be included in the schedule as time goes. They are included here for download with the permission of their authors. Many of these sceneries will work in FS2002 as well. (Note that many of these sceneries require the Tree macros of Garrish Grays. Some include them, others do not. You can download them separately below and install them once directly into the FS2002 Scenery and Texture files.)

2005 Iditarod ABL Script
Update/Final Version

By: Joao Paz
2005 Iditarod XXXIII Trail Sled Dog Race ! ABL (Adventure Basic Language) script. The Alaskan Winds Iditarod 2005 ABL Script does not attempt to be as-real-as-it-gets, but only to provide a specific and (if possible!) immersive environment. There are 27 checkpoints to the XXXIII Iditarod (2005, odd years, southern route). The script divides them into 2 main categories (see below) and, thanks to our many volunteers, adds individual ATC-like voices to each checkpoint.
Misty Fjords Lodges By: M. Allen Richards
MF_Lodges.zip is the first in a series-and although ficticious is inspired by real world Lodges in Southeast Alaska. This first one was inspired by the Boardwalk Lodge at Thorne Bay, AK. It is designed to be compatible with the Misty Fjords addon.
Iditarod 2005 rainy pass to kaltag By: Jim at Alaska Winds via Joao Paz
Here's Jim's great maps info converted top FSNavigator and FS9 flightplan formats - done with the aid of FS9 map view. However, for realism and places names, etc, use this with Jim's maps too. The idea is just to avoid getting lost.
Alaskan Winds Resort By: Brent Garland via Joao Paz
I have built this fictional scenery for the great people I have met from Alaskan Winds .This scenery is located on Admiralty Island on a small pristine lake at a elevation of 400'. It is located in the Hawk Inlet area and from my searches it feeds the Admiralty Creek.
Sacks Cove, AK By: Tom Fica
Located about 40 miles from Ketchikan in the NW corner of Behm Canal, this remote cove is home to a nice little cabin with a good dock. Floatplanes only, no strip.

Loring Watermill
Update

By: Leon Louis
I made this scenery in beautyful 'Misty Fjords' made by Holger Sandmann.
Included in the update release is a correction for the elevation of the objects in the dock area. Also included and most important, is the Loring Water Fall with animated 'jumping' salmons, courtesy of the talented Allen Richards.
Don's Pilot Lodge, BC By: Brent Garland for Don Houge
Here you will find a Lodge that I built for Don Houge! Located in the Queen Charlotte Islands on Graham Island, Eden Lake BC.
TWA CYPR Operatoions By: Bear Baker
Finally, we have new facilities at our home in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. Please make sure review the ReadMe file. This is a working version of the scenery, but is not the final version. Please report any problems.
Kenia Floatplane Base By: John Woodard
Aerial photos on the Kenai airport website show that there is very little to see at the floatplane base other than a long concrete apron and lots of docking slips along the channel. The real shorelines are straight but in the default FS9 scenery they are irregular. Thus, an exact model could not be made. The apron was shortened to fit within the straightest length of shoreline and was rotated to get the best fit. Otherwise some slips would be over land and others too far into the water. The real apron is parallel to the main runway but of course this one will not be, but it is not noticeable from the ground. Another problem is that the real floatplane base and airport are at the same elevation, but in FS9 they are not, so it was difficult to create a taxiway down the sloping surface.
Lk Hood Floatplane Base
By: John Woodard
Lake Hood is the largest and busiest floatplane base in the world. This scenery is a representation based on satellite images and what few photographs I could find. Google Earth images were used to locate the major buildings and determine their sizes. Unfortunately, all you can see are mostly the tops of buildings so you have to make your best guess at what they look like from the ground. For example, one appeared to be a large A-frame structure, another appeared to have two stories and possibly a tower attached (Lake hood at one time had a contol tower but traffic is now handled by Stevens International).
Lk Hood Float Base ver_2 By: John Woodard
The first version of this scenery was made without any knowledge of the appearance of the buildings at Lake Hood, other than what could be guessed at from Google Earth images. Recently, Jimmy Rowland took the time go there and take numerous photos. These can be seen in the Bush Flying forum at Avsim. Several of the buildings were completely redesigned. These include the Jim Air facility and the two large buildings. Others were removed since they were apparently torn down.
Polar Bear Island By: Bill ?
Polar Bear Island is a privately owned island in Bartlett Cove Alaska, the owners of the island have made it open to the public. They have added hot air baloon rides as well as a small amusement park. There are hangers on the field that have automated doors. Pull up to the hanger you would like to use and get the frequency off the sign in front of the hanger. While you are there, stay in one of the cottages or hotel, Polor Bear Island has everything you need, so if you forget something, just had to the little mall. On your approach, keep an eye out for any hot air boloons that may be in the air. The owners still live on the island.
Schwenz 1938 Vintage Air-Strip
Update-enhancements
By: Mike Woolsey
1938 is a scenery built in the high mountainous terrain of Alaska. It was built for my friend Scott Schwenz and as a dedication to his fathers Alaskan dream. This scenery features mostly a vintage appeal with sounds custom sounds and custom vintage texture ideas. Also included is an FX pack that will enable blowing snow during the Fall and Winter seasons as well as blowing dust at the start of Spring. Pick a flight and have fun...stop in fuel up and grab a bite to eat at Marnie's Cafe.
