Contrary to all appearances, I am still alive although at times it seems only
barely so. It seems that some time during the past six months I completely lost
my perspective on life. Between personal and work demands I failed to allow
time for relaxation and personal goals including keeping my obligation to you
to insure Timberwolf Aviation maintained its position as one of the oldest and
best FS virtual airlines. While that neglect is inexcusable, I apologize anyhow.
I would like to thank Remy for the many site updates he has accomplished in
the past month and for the several, not so subtle kicks in the rear has given
me. While I have been busy as a one-arm bandit on the DOD contract we won last
year, he has been just as busy with his own job (he is working for another Seattle
.com start-up...you can imagine the hours) and, to boot, he got married in September.
We have more to do, but at least some progress is being made.
I must also thank all of you for hanging in there and keeping Timberwolf alive
in my absence. It is your personal commitment that has kept it going and I do
appreciate it. I flew last Sunday for the first time in six months. I had forgotten
how relaxing FS can be...and had you seen my landing you would have noticed
how much else I have forgotten.
I am committed to a very hectic schedule for the duration of this project,
but I will do my best to make the time for Timberwolf as well. But, to insure
that my absence for any period of time does not bring us to this point again,
I am going to ask for volunteers to take on some of the site responsibilities.
The rate at which these responsibilities can be transferred is dependent on
the implementation of new functionality in the site. Remy has already done some,
I am working on some others and hopefully we can look to finish at least the
critical pieces before Christmas.
I will be out of town again until the 23rd, but will continue to get updates
done during that time at least to the extent I can.
Again, thanks to all of you have have kept Timberwolf Aviation going in my
absence. Let's see if we can't build her back up to the premier status she deserves.
Have a great day,
